1. Who we are
Workforce for Humans ("WFH," "we," "us") is a workforce-transition platform operated by WorkforceForHumans LLC (Colorado, USA). We help people affected by layoffs, automation, AI displacement, or mid-career transitions find real jobs and real training — with honest numbers and a practitioner's voice.
Primary contact for privacy questions: hello@workforceforhumans.com.
2. What we collect
We only collect what's needed to run the product. Specifically:
Account information
- Email address — used for magic-link sign-in via Supabase Auth. No passwords are stored.
- Display name (optional) — what we greet you as.
Job-seeker profile (only if you create one)
- Headline, summary, career stage, desired roles, desired skills, desired pay, open-to-remote, location (city/state).
- Newsletter opt-in preference.
Resume content (only if you submit one)
- Pasted resume text, uploaded files (
.pdfor.docx), and parsed structured data (skills, experience, education) returned by our AI resume reviewer. - Uploaded files are stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket accessible only to you and our server-side processing function.
Match history
- Scores and explanations generated by our match engine, with timestamps of when you were emailed about them (for de-duping the weekly digest).
Employer information (only if you post a job)
- Employer name, contact email, website, listing content, and subscription status.
- Payment metadata — not card numbers. Payment instruments are handled entirely by Stripe; we only store Stripe customer and subscription IDs.
Usage data
- Aggregated page views, referrer, country, device category — collected via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not store IP addresses or track individuals across sites.
- Intentional interaction events (e.g. clicking the employer-checkout CTA, sending a magic-link, uploading a resume, opening the per-match coach brief, requesting new matches) — collected via PostHog. PostHog stores a minimal first-party identifier so a single browsing session can be stitched together; we do not link this identifier to your account, and we do not enable cross-site tracking, session recording, or general autocapture.
3. How we use it
- To sign you in, show you your dashboard, and return relevant job matches.
- To send you match digests and transactional emails (sign-in links, employer-checkout confirmations). We only send newsletters if you opt in.
- To aggregate anonymous usage patterns so we can improve the product.
- To process employer payments via Stripe.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share profile or resume content with third parties beyond the processors listed below.
4. Third-party processors
The platform is built from a small set of purpose-built services. Each one sees only what it needs to do its job:
| Processor | Purpose | Data seen |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication, database, file storage (US region). | All account, profile, and resume data. |
| Anthropic (Claude) | AI resume review, job-match scoring, external-feed relevance filter. | Resume text and profile data for review; job descriptions for filtering. |
| OpenAI | Embeddings for the intelligence feed (optional; content only). | Public news / market-pulse text only. No member data. |
| Resend | Transactional email (sign-in magic links, match digests, employer receipts). | Your email address and the message body. |
| Stripe | Employer payments. WFH never sees card data. | Employer billing email, name, and Stripe-side payment instrument. |
| Cloudflare | Static-site hosting (Cloudflare Pages) and cookieless pageview analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). | Request metadata (URL, referrer, device, country). No cookies, no cross-site tracking, IP not stored. |
| PostHog | Custom-event analytics for product-improvement decisions (US Cloud region). | Intentional interaction events only (CTA clicks, magic-link send, resume upload, coach-brief disclosure open, match request). Minimal first-party session identifier; no autocapture, no session recording, no cross-site tracking. |
| USAJobs.gov | Public federal job feed we pull from daily. | Read-only — no member data is ever sent to USAJobs. |
We review processor privacy terms before adding them to the stack. Adding a new processor that handles member data will update this page under Section 11 (Changes).
5. Automated processing & AI
WFH uses AI for three things, all grounded in your own input:
- Resume review. When you upload a resume, Claude parses it and produces strengths, gaps, and suggested rewrites. The parsed data is stored in your profile so we can score job matches against it.
- Match scoring. Your profile is sent alongside a shortlist of active jobs to Claude, which returns per-job fit scores and a plain-English "why this fits" note plus a "next edge" framing of growth opportunities.
- External-feed relevance filter. When we pull public roles from USAJobs.gov, we ask Claude whether each one is realistic for the WFH audience before listing it. No member data is used for this step.
Scores and AI explanations are informational only. They are not job placement guarantees, credit decisions, or employment-eligibility determinations. You can request a human review of any AI output by contacting hello@workforceforhumans.com.
6. Retention & deletion
- Account & profile: retained while your account is active.
- Resume files: retained while your account is active. Inactive accounts may be pruned during periodic review; you can request immediate deletion at any time.
- Match scores: retained to support the weekly digest and your match history. Older scores may be purged during periodic database maintenance.
- Employer billing records: retained for 7 years to satisfy tax and financial audit requirements.
- Deletion on request: email hello@workforceforhumans.com. We action deletions within 30 days and confirm by email.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise any of these by emailing hello@workforceforhumans.com. We'll verify identity via your registered email before acting and confirm once complete.
California (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado (CPA), Virginia (VCDPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and Utah (UCPA) residents have specific rights under state law. We honor verified requests for access, deletion, correction, and opt-out of sale/sharing — noting again that we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.
EU/UK residents: our legal basis for processing is either your consent (newsletter opt-in), contract performance (running the product you signed up for), or our legitimate interest (aggregated analytics, preventing abuse) — whichever applies to the specific data.
[Section subject to final counsel review for state-specific disclosures.]
8. Cookies & analytics
We use the bare minimum needed to keep you signed in:
- Supabase session token — stored in browser storage so you stay signed in. Cleared on sign-out.
- Stripe — sets its own cookies on the checkout page it hosts; governed by Stripe's policy.
We do not use advertising cookies, session-replay tools, cross-site pixels, or third-party tracking. Our pageview analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is cookieless. Our event analytics (PostHog) stores a minimal first-party session identifier so a browsing session can be stitched together — it is not linked to your account and is never shared with third parties for advertising.
9. Security
- All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS).
- Data at rest is encrypted in Supabase.
- Access to raw data is gated by row-level security — your profile is only readable by you; resume files are only readable by you and our server-side parser.
- Payments never touch our servers; Stripe handles them directly.
No system is perfectly secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, email hello@workforceforhumans.com immediately.
10. Children
WFH is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of WFH after a change means you accept the updated policy.
